Caitlyn Hoffheins Obituary

Caitlyn Paige Hoffheins, 29, Marion, passed away at 11:32 pm on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana in Fort Wayne. She was born in Marion, Indiana, on Thursday, February 22, 1996, to Jason Hoffheins and Alicia Mullenix.

Caitlyn graduated from Eastbrook High School. She was pure joy in motion-spontaneous, wild-hearted, and totally unforgettable. She didn't know a stranger and never forgot a face, always ready with the kind of hug that made your whole day better. Her laugh could fill a room, her smile was electric, and those eyes? Absolutely stunning. She was sweet and spicy, like a sour patch kid-one minute melting your heart, the next flipping you off with a grin that said, "I love you, but I'm still me." People were wrapped around her finger, and honestly, they didn't mind one bit. She loved art, loved to paint, loved to dance like nobody was watching. Whether she was cheering, playing unified basketball, or tearing around in her golf cart (which, let's be real, was a thrill ride every time), she lived loud and loved big. Family was everything-sleepovers, hangouts, just being together and being with her dog, Molly. She made you feel like you belonged. And that's the thing-she didn't just live life, she lit it up.

Survivors include her father, Jason (Vickie) Hoffheins of Marion; mother, Alicia Mullenix of Jonesboro; step-dad, Mike Ketring; siblings, Kristen (Kody) Graves, Austin (Robyn) Hoffheins, Bo Ketring and Chelsey Ketring; nieces and nephews, Roxie, Brantley, Iris, Presley, Rayden, Ella, Journey; grandparents, Janet (Bob) Mullenix, Michael Mullenix, Gary (Sandy) Hoffheins; uncles, Derek (Amber) Hoffheins, Ryan (Elsa) Mullenix; cousins, Jazlyn Hoffheins, Melanie Mullenix, Camden Hoffheins, Brantley Hoffheins; as well as many extended family members and special friends, Kayla and Kennadi.

The family will receive visitors from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm on Monday, October 13, 2025, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St, Gas City, IN.

Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Caitlyn's life will begin at 2:00 pm.

My dearest Caitlyn, we our so saddened to hear of your passing. How Mike and I just loved our talks on the front porch, your laugh was just so infectious, when you laughed we laughed. You was so spunky and just oh so happy. Oh how you loved your grandma Sandy and grandpa Gary, you was always so happy to be over visiting and staying all night with them. I loved listening to you and Mike go back and forth all the time. So many laughs we had. The heavens gained another angel. You will be missed dearly by so many people. Our condolences to all the family and friends.
