Cal J Schweitzer

Calvin J Schweitzer, 66, of Marinette passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at home. He was born November 25, 1959, in Racine,WI to the late Calvin and Dorothy (Bronson) Schweitzer. Cal graduated from William Horlick High School in 1979 and joined the US Navy serving from 1979 to 1991. He worked for several years at the Sunrise Methodist Church in Colorado Springs. In 2015, he moved to Marinette to be close to his adopted family the Klema's. Cal worked at the Marinette Walmart from 2016 -2025 until his illness, he also worked part time at Klema Painting & Decorating for 8 years, and Kelma Seguins Cheese for 3 years. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Menominee, Twi-Cees, Marinette Elks Lodge 1313, and enjoyed football and traveling.

Cal is survived by the only family he has known, the Klema family: Randy and Terri Klema, Jessica (Joe) Wittock, Tricia (Andrew) Weaver and Cody (fiancee, Kim Wozniak) Klema; dear friend and loving neighbor Kathy Schmidt. Cal had a special bond with his goddaughter, Jessica, who he adored.

Friends may call at Thielen Funeral Home on Wednesday March 11th from 3pm to 5:30pm. A Prayer Service will be held at 5:30pm with Pastor Gordon Grigg officiating.
