Sandy L Diercks

Sandra "Sandy" Dericks, at age 76, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 2, 2026.

Sandy was born on May 15, 1949, to the late Donald and Evelyn (Lesandrini) Tousignant in Menominee. She graduated from Marinette High School in 1967.

Sandy spent most of her adult life living in Marinette. Her last place of employment was Bay Area Medical Center where she was employed in the cafeteria. She always had a smile for all the employees.

Sandy married Micky Dericks on July 28, 1979 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Marinette, he preceded her in death on June 15, 2016. Also preceding her in death were her daughter, Nichol Bedor on September 11, 2025,her siblings, Bobby Tousignant and Sherrie Aldrich; and her nephew, Peter Aldrich.

She is survived by her daughter, Joyce Colson, her son in law Kevin Bedor, and her beloved grandchildren; Anthony, Lisa Marie, Lilly, and Jacob. She is also survived by her brothers Ron (Grace) Tousignant, Mike (Lila) Tousignant; Sisters in law Pat Buettner and Dorothy Dericks; special niece, Katie O'Reilly, who lovingly helped care for her over the last years; as well as many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins and many great friends.

Sandy will be remembered most for the beautiful Christmas stockings she crocheted for generations of family and friends. She always kept candy in her home for anyone who stopped by, and for those who lived far away, she made sure the children received candy in the mail. She was a woman who loved fiercely and stood strong while facing life's many curve balls.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Per Sandy's wishes, no services will be held. Thielen Funeral Home is assisting the family. Burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery.
