Calvin Chronister

Calvin Chronister age 85 of Dardanelle, passed away Monday, October 13, 2025 at his home. He was born March 18, 1940 in Moreland, Arkansas to the late Hobart Chronister and Thelma Nowlin Chronister. He retired from Con-Agra Foods after 35 years of service and he loved gardening and hunting. Calvin was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Rayburn, Harold, Henry, H.S.; four sisters, Bonnie Troutt, Earlene Simpson, Jettie Burris, Martha Rickett and a sister-in-law, Patsy Love Smith.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Phyllis Chronister; one son, Clinton Chronister (Yvonne); one brother, Wendell Chronister; one grandchild, Elizabeth Newton (Lonnie); two great grandchildren, Aurora Newton, Ronan Newton and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Thursday, 6:00P.M. to 8:00P.M. at Cornwell Funeral Chapel in Dardanelle. Funeral services will be held at 2:00P.M., Friday at Cornwell Funeral Chapel in Dardanelle with Bro. Lance Adams officiating. Burial will be in Brearley Cemetery in Dardanelle.

Pallbearers will be Danny Dane, James Robert Hankins, Randy Hollis, Jackie Phillips, Charles Rector and Trey Simmons.
