He was an avid fisherman and hunter who especially loved pheasant and quail hunting. He also took great pride in raising his Limousin cattle. At home, Calvin was happiest behind the wheel of his tractor, often giving his grandchildren rides around the property or pulling the trailer for hayrides. Whether on the tractor or down on the floor playing with the kids, he treasured his role as Papa. Calvin loved to sing, often belting out tunes while drivingwhether running errands, headed to his favorite Mexican spot, Chuys, grabbing a pizza at Eagle One, or stopping for a plate of fried chicken at Chicken Marys in Pittsburg.
