Calvin E. Peek

PEEK, Calvin E., 81, of Rhoadesville, died on Monday, September 7, 2009 at the University of Virginia Medical Center, Charlottesville. Mr. Peek was a member of Antioch Baptist Church, St. Just. He had worked at the cellophane plant and also 10 years with Dupont Corp., both in Richmond, and had 33 years of service with the postal service. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Cathy Peek. He is survived by his wife, LaRue Herndon Peek; three nieces and one nephew. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. on Sunday, September 13, 2009 at Johnson Funeral Home, Locust Grove. A funeral service will begin at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Brian Harfst officiating. Burial will follow in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.
