Calvin Antonio Perkins, 54 of Charlotte, NC passed away on Saturday December 7, 2024.
Calvin was born in Florence, SC on February 2, 1970 to the late Willie Lee Perkins, Jr. and Joyce Gee-Perkins.
He is preceded in death by his sister Felecia W. Perkins.
He is survived by his loving wife Tonquese Bliss-Perkins; his mother Joyce Gee-Perkins of Effingham, SC; daughters Zanquisha Love (Brandon) of Charlotte, NC, Kamiece Perkins of Charlotte, NC, Egypt Battle (Marvin) of Huntsville, AL; sons Terrell (Boo) Cooper, Micaiah Hunter both of Effingham, SC, Delante Isiah of Florence, SC, and Brazil Bliss of Huntsville, AL; brother Andreau Perkins (Brenda) of Georgetown, SC; 13 grandchildren and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends.
Calvin was a fun and loving man. He loved to listen to Indian flute music and meditating. He loved him some Bob Marley. Calvin really enjoyed being a truck driver. Being a truck driver fit in with his love of traveling. When he wasn't driving his truck you may have found him bird watching or using his telescope to look at the stars. He also liked watching conspiracy theory videos on YouTube. Calvin was a man that had a love for playing spades and darts. He also had a great passion for assembling things and being Mr. FixIt. Dancing was another thing he loved to do. But most importantly he loved being a husband and father and feeling appreciated. He was making an effort to be a better version of himself. Calvin will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
The family will celebrate Calvin's life on December 21, 2024 at 10AM (121 George St SW, Concord, NC). Harrisburg Funeral & Cremation is serving the family. Please call 704-781-5665 for questions regarding services.
