Calvin Reddix Jr.

On October twenty-first, 1960, Calvin" Joker/Smoke" Reddix, Jr. of Three Rivers, Mississippi was born to the late Calvin Reddix Sr. and Christine Nicholson Reddix. He departed this life unexpectedly on January 4, 2025, in his residence in Escatawpa, Mississippi.
He attended East Central High School in Hurley, Mississippi. He had a profound love and passion for fishing, crabbing, playing spades, baseball, shucking and jiving and spending time with family and friends. Calvin was known for having an unexpected "left hook" that would catch his "opponents" off guard and gave him a competitive advantage in hitting a baseball out the park. Those of us who knew him well understood he was kindhearted and would give his last to those in need. It is no secret that Calvin loved his community. He made his rounds to every garden and tree, picking blue berries, lemons, satsumas, plums, etc. Calvin would always share his gatherings with family and friends. He always had a shovel in his car, just in case he saw an opportunity to dig some fishing bait.
Preceding him in death are his father, Calvin Reddix; his mother, Christine Nicholson Reddix; grandparents, Ed and Viola Nicholson, Della and David Reddix; brother, Bobby Eugene Reddix; a special aunt, Azell Wells and numerous aunts and uncles.
Calvin leaves to cherish his memories of his brothers and sisters; Joseph Nicholson, Derrick (Leoqueita) Reddix, Linda Nicholson, Marie Thomas, Cynthia (Billard) Fairley, Toshika (Vickie) Reddix-Jones; devoted aunts, Mollie Nicholson, Mable Bradley, Pearlie (Johnny) Thomas; sister-in-law Sylvia Wells-Reddix; a loving friend, Jennifer Dampier; and a host nieces, nephews, family and friends.
