Reverend Calvin Willis Vanderwerf

Reverend Vanderwerf was born on October 4, 1927 and passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2008. Reverend Vanderwerf was a resident of Grundy Center, Iowa at the time of his passing. Calvin graduated from Aplington High School in Iowa in 1944. He entered the University of Dubuque as a college freshman at the age of 27. He received his Bachelor of Arts in 1958, a Master of Divinity degree from the Dubuque Theological Seminary in 1960, and a Master of Sacred Theology degree there in 1974. Funeral Services will be held at the Bethany Presbyterian Church in Grundy Center, IA at 11 am on December 18, 2008. Vistitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. service time at the church. Interment will be at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Grundy Center, IA. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in Calvin's memory to his charity of choice, the Medical Benevolence Foundation, P. O.
