Calvin Waisner

Calvin Waisner, age 83, of Versailles passed away Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at SSM St. Mary's Hospital in Jefferson City.
It was on the 7th day of February in 1940 in Versailles that Vasco Edward and Clara Elizabeth(Chamberlain) Waisner welcomed their son, Calvin Jasper, into their home.
On March 18, 1961, Calvin was united in marriage to Evelyn Caviness in Versailles.
He was a 1958 Morgan Co R-II Versailles High School graduate.
He was a member of the West Union Baptist Church.
For 47 years, he worked as a mechanic and a car salesman for Yarnell Service Station and Jim Dornan Chevrolet.
Calvin was an outdoorsman. He liked to fish, hunt, and garden. He liked to go to car shows. The most important thing is his life was his family and the time he was able to spend to them.
Left to carry on Calvin's legacy is his wife of 62 years, Evelyn of Versailles; two daughters, Debra Sizer and husband Bryan of Stover and Dana Edgar and husband Tony of Versailles; five grandchildren, Anthony Sizer, Nathan Sizer (Lauren), Borden Edgar (Abby), Brooke Crowe (Austin), Isabella Edgar (Wyatt Espinosa); one great grandson on the way; along with other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Newell Waisner.
In keeping with his wishes, Calvin will be cremated. A family service will be held at a later date.
