David Cameron “Cam” Beam, age 64, of Tot Dellinger Road, passed away Thursday, December 28, 2023, at his residence. He was born November 16, 1959, in Cleveland County to Carol Black Beam and the late David Lee Beam.
Cam was an avid and talented car builder. He entered many car shows and enjoyed working on his ’55 Chevy 210 and his ’55 two-door Chevy wagon. Cam was also a third-generation house mover. He was gifted with his hands and had a generous heart; if something needed to be done, Cam would do it. If he didn’t know how to do it, he would figure it out. He enjoyed nothing more than helping other people. The light of his life was his grandchildren, who will miss him dearly.
Survivors include his mother, Carol Beam; the love of his life, of 40 years, Kim Parris Beam; son and daughter-in-law, Garren and Jordan Beam; grandchildren, Maddox Beam, Mayson-Kate Owens, and Miller Beam; sister, Amy Beam Doster and husband, John Doster, and their children, Cameron and Caroline Doster; uncle, Mike Black and wife, Wanda; aunts, Gail Beam and Rose King; brother-in-law, Lee Parris and his children, Brandon and Christopher Parris; and his supportive group of life long friends.
His family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30 PM on Friday, December 29, 2023, at Carpenter-Porter Funeral & Cremation Services.
A celebration of Life Services will be held at 11:00 AM on December 30, 2023, at First Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Vince Hefner officiating.
Burial will be private.
