Camellia (Cammie) Haught Newlon, 65, of Fountain Inn, South Carolina, passed away at her home in the loving arms of her daughter Crystal on Monday, March 24, 2025.
Cammie was born on August 29, 1959, in Dover, Ohio to the late Charles E. & Marjorie E. (Delaney) Haught.
Cammie was raised in Marietta, Ohio where she attended school and met the love of her life Calvin Newlon, together they shared 48 years of marriage at the time of her passing.
Cammie and Calvin relocated to Fountain Inn and raised their children there, Cammie was a resident of Fountain Inn until her passing, Cammie and Calvin had a welcoming heart they would offer anyone a place to stay or anything they needed to help them out. They have raised many of Cammie's nieces and nephews just like they were their own kids.
In addition to her husband, Calvin, Cammie is survived by her 3 children, Crystal Harrell (Robert), Danny Haught and Charles Newlon; ten grandchildren, Celsie, Shelby, Hannah, Noah, Nicholas, Caleb, Peaches, Abigail, Elijah and Charles Jr.; 4 great grandchildren, Freya, Liam, Salem and Asher and a new one on the way; sister Della Flesher; brothers, Larry Haught (Kathy), Roger Haught, Bob & Rick Moore; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and extended family.
Cammie is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Margorie Haught; son, Jeremy Newlon; granddaughter, Megan Haught; brother, Charles E. Haught Jr.; and sister, Nancy Delaney.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, March 28, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Cannon-Byrd Funeral Home; 1150 N. Main St., Fountain Inn, SC 29644. A Funeral Service will follow beginning at 2:00 pm in the Cannon-Byrd Funeral Home Chapel.
A Reception will be held immediately after services at the home of Crystal & Robert Harrell.
