A visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Officiating the service will be Pastor Mike Schultz of First Baptist of Benton, Louisiana.

Cameron was born on August 5, 2003, to Jenniffer Cason in Jasper, Texas, and passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2026,  in Bossier City, Louisiana.

Cameron, known lovingly as Cam, grew up in Benton, Louisiana, alongside his siblings, Victoria, Jassyn, and Kierra. From a very young age, he loved fishing and anything that allowed him to be outdoors. Cam had a natural instinct to protect the people he loved, and his family always knew they could count on him.

He was an exceptionally hardworking young man, willing to do whatever was needed and never shying away from responsibility. Those who worked with him described him as an inspiration—both in the workplace and among his generation. Cam was an amazing son, brother, and friend whose presence brought strength, laughter, and comfort to those around him.

The world will not be the same without him, and his absence leaves a space that cannot be filled. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Cam was preceded in death by his great grandfather and namesake, Sherwood Eugene Coplen, and his great grandmother, Youna Louise Coplen. Left to cherish his memory are his loving mother, Jenniffer Cason; stepfather, Bryan Lane; sisters, Victoria and Kierra Cason; brother, Jassyn Cason; stepbrother, Cody Lane; chosen brothers, Landen and Kobe Dickerson; grandparents, Douglas and Sarah Fowler; and his uncle, Robert Cason.

Serving Cam as honorary pallbearers are River Whitley, Dallas Hanks, Lucky Hill, L.J. White, Jassyn Cason, Skylar Teal, Ellis, and Trent.
