Camilla Coughlin Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Allen Funeral Home - Davison on Oct. 1, 2025.
COUGHLIN, Camilla "Cammy" Sue (Gardner) – of Flint, MI, age 78, passed away Sunday, July 27, 2025. The family will receive visitors 2-7 PM Friday, August 1, 2025 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423. Cremation will take place following visitation.
Cammy was born in Paragould, Arkansas on May 18, 1947, daughter of the late James and Opal (Stroud) Gardner. On March 22, 1963, Cammy married the love of her life, Thurman "Sonny" Coughlin Jr., and together they built a beautiful life rooted in love, laughter, and devotion. A woman of many passions, Cammy found joy in the simple and meaningful moments-tending to her garden, soaking up the warmth of summer, cheering on her beloved Detroit Tigers and watching NASCAR races. She had a spirited, competitive nature and enjoyed a good game of poker or pool. Her greatest joy, however, came from her family. She rarely missed a game or event, always there to support her grandchildren and great-grandchildren with pride and love. Whether gathering with friends, spending peaceful moments outdoors, or simply enjoying time with those she loved most, Cammy lived each day with grace and gratitude. Her legacy is one of love, resilience, and a deep appreciation for life's meaningful moments. She will be remembered always for her kind heart, strong spirit, and the joy she brought to everyone who knew her.
Cammy is survived by her husband, Thurman "Sonny" Coughlin Jr.; 2 children, Kevin (Tracey) Coughlin and Kimberly Carrasco; 4 grandchildren, April (Travis) Fry, Amber (Joel) Miller, Danielle (Corey Dill) Carrasco and Kylie Carrasco; 4 great-grandchildren, Eli, Dan, Brantley and baby Raidyn; brother, Kenny Gardner; many other loving family members and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Opal Gardner; 3 siblings, Betty (Bill) Beardsley, Connie Coates and Jimmy Gardner.
