Camille (Crowe) Mickelson, 85 of Elbow Lake died Wednesday February 14, 2024, at Rolling Hills Assisted Living in Barrett. 

Camille Claire Mickelson was born on February 13, 1939, in Minneapolis, Minnesota the daughter of Kenneth Crowe and Evelyn (Otterson) Auslund. She attended and graduated from Elbow Lake High School.

 

On April 26, 1957, Cami and Don Mickelson were united in marriage and made their home outside of Elbow Lake where they were engaged in farming for several years. After selling the farm they moved into Elbow Lake.

 

Cami was an avid Minnesota Twins fan and followed her kids and grandkids with their sports and school activities. Cami took

great pride in using her sewing skills to sew clothes, doll clothes and Halloween costumes. She enjoyed trips to the casino and was also fortunate to travel many places with family and friends over the years.

 

Cami is survived by her children Cory (Linda) Mickelson of Dalton, Shelly (Randy) Olson of Wendell and Chad (Melissa) Mickelson of Hawley; twelve grandchildren Jennifer (Mike) Radke, Jamie Hoover, Luke (Ashley) Mickelson, Maria (Pat) Bollinger, Amber (Tony) Ruud, Jacob (Kelsi) Mickelson, Gina (Andrew) Hittle, Shawna (Keith) Meyer, Jesse Olson, Cassie (Beau) Bopp, Levi Mickelson and Mac Mickelson; twenty-five great-grandchildren; brothers Dennis Auslund and Delano Auslund; sisters-in-law Jean Larson and Janice Mickelson; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

 

She is proceeded in death by her husband Donald in 2004; parents Kenneth Crowe and Evelyn Auslund and stepfather Joel Auslund; siblings Bill Crowe, Marcia Huseth and Darlene Spaulding; brothers-in-law Jerry Larson, Gary Mickelson and Harvey Huseth; nieces Harlene Cross and Lori Gray; great-nephew Jason Cross.

 

Memorial Service at 11:00 AM Friday, February 23, 2024, at Erickson-Smith Funeral Home in Elbow Lake. Visitation starting at 9:30 AM until the time of the service.

 

Burial at Hjerdhl Cemetery, rural Elbow Lake

 

Arrangements by Erickson-Smith Funeral Home of Elbow Lake

 

In lieu of flowers the family asks memorials be preferred to Moments Hospice or Hjerdal Cemetery.
