Candance Rosilie "Candy" Fite

Peebles, Ohio Candance Rosilie Fite, 74, of Peebles, Ohio, passed 11:00 a.m., Sunday, March 29, 2026, at her home.

Candance was born on March 12, 1952, in Columbus, Ohio, daughter of the late Harold Hughes and Evelyn (Forbes) Hughes. On June 14, 1970, she was united in marriage to Harold Edward Fite, who preceded her in death September 3, 2022.

She is survived by her three children, Shawn (Rebecca) Fite, Kimberly (Mark) Hawk, and Donnie (Becky) Fite; seven grandchildren, Cole Fite, Chase (Jayme) Fite, Caylee (Zach) Rapp, Kelcie (Zach Bethel) Hawk, Dalton (Brooke) Hawk, Leevi Fite, and Archer Fite; seven great grandchildren, Cash Fite, Cayden Fite, Ryder Fite, Rebel Fite, Crue Rapp, Kyzer Bethel, and Kam Hawk, and a great granddaughter on the way, Bella Rapp; a brother, Pete (Betty) Hughes; three sisters, Drema Lytle, Johnnie Irvin, and Deb Hughes; and a special aunt, Shirley (Dennis) Wallace.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers, Tom Hughes, William Feller Hughes, and Charles "Ched" Hughes; and an infant sister, Pam Hughes.

Candance was a devoted and hardworking woman who dedicated 32 years of service to USEC at the Atomic Plant in Piketon. She was a member of Latham Church and the Quilter's Club, where she shared her passion for quilting. She loved traveling and proudly visited every state except Hawaii. In her free time, she enjoyed crafting and quilting, but most of all, she cherished spending time with her family.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 2, 2026, at Boyer Funeral Home, Waverly, Ohio with Aaron Satterfield officiating. Burial will follow in Gardner Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, and from 10:00 a.m. until the service on Thursday at the funeral home in Waverly. Candance Rosilie "Candy" Fite
