Virginia Beach - It is with sorrowful hearts that we share the passing of our beautiful, beloved daughter and sister Candice Ann Majkut. Candice to most, Candy to some, and CAM to us, her selfless soul and contagious smile were brought into this world on April 23, 1971, in Norfolk, Virginia. Now at the age of 54 she has at last ventured home to be in the welcoming and eternal embrace of Jesus, passing away peacefully on September 28, 2025, in Virginia Beach, Virginia. She is survived by her parents Stan and Pam and her brothers John and Andrew.

From an early age Candice was a tender-hearted yet fearless warrior for Christ, apparent in her Christlike compassion and indomitable spirit. Blessed with such a formidable heart, she was equally strong of mind - admirably ambitious and markedly intelligent. She graduated from Rock Church Academy with honors, which she attended from kindergarten through 12th grade. She then continued on to Virginia Wesleyan College in Norfolk, VA, Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, OK, and graduated from Regent University in Virginia Beach, VA with a Masters Degree in Communications.

While Candice passionately loved the visual arts - most specifically film, television, and all aspects pertaining to filmmaking - she was always eager to learn about everything, reading and studying a wealth of subjects recreationally. If you mentioned a topic, field of study, or historical event conversationally, Candice would likely have knowledge and most assuredly have an opinion on the matter, as well as an apparent interest and willingness to learn, to grow, to understand. She was never shy in communicating her unabashed love of the Lord nor who she was fundamentally, whether through discourse, her artistic expressions, or her indisputable and singular style and fashion. This would often tie into her complete adoration of Christmas, autumn, and holidays in general - time she loved to share with family and friends. If you were fortunate enough to experience her undeniable love of hats, your day was surely brightened.

CAM was truly a brilliant light in the lives of so many - her compassion and care for others was endless. This beautiful gift was evident in the text ministry that she created. Every single Monday she would individually share words of encouragement, scripture, and songs with a multitude of loved ones and friends. If someone was enduring a difficult situation or obstacle in their lives, she listened earnestly in order to specifically lift that person up in prayer. Candice absolutely loved praying for others. This can be attested to by all of the lives she touched and incredible friends she made during her time at the Spring Branch Evening Edition ladies Bible study group. Her devotion to family and friends was only exceeded by her unwavering devotion to the Lord.

We are indescribably thankful for and sincerely humbled by the tremendous outpouring of love, support, and prayers that our family, friends, and the church have blessed us with in this unspeakably difficult time. Candice was and continues to be a truly cherished gift to us all.
