Cari Lee Cabral

Cari passed away peacefully at the age of 47 on February 6, 2026.

She was born in Falmouth, MA on November 25, 1978; graduated Falmouth High School, and lived most of her life on Cape Cod.

First and foremost, what we all remember about her; Cari was a lover of animals. At a young age, before she was old enough to formally volunteer, she would spend as much time as she could at the Falmouth Dog Shelter, now known as "Friends of Falmouth Dogs". In her adult years she also volunteered and traveled with Disaster Animal Response Team, better known as Cape Cod DART; and the ASPCA, The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals; and The Humane Society of the United States.

Her rescues, fosters and adoptees meant more than the world to her.

Cari was predeceased by her father Robert "Bob" L. Cabral, brother Jon Cabral and aunt Susan (Benway) Jenkinson of Martha's Vineyard. Also predeceased by her beloved fur babies Sammy, Baby, Brie, Bonnie, Salty, and Mindy.

She leaves behind her mother Linda Benway of Falmouth, MA and Inverness, FL; sister Lindalee (Jones) Andrews of East Falmouth, MA Inverness, FL, brother John and wife Elise Potter of Chepachet, RI, sister Casey (Ferreira) and husband Charles "Chuck" Lake of Port Charlotte, FL, brother Robert "Rob" J. Cabral of Falmouth, MA, nephew James "Jay" and wife Mary Andrews of Irmo, SC, niece Cadence Mandigo and husband Jeff Butland of East Falmouth, MA, nephew John "Jack" Potter Jr. of Chepachet, RI, many extended family and friends, as well as her beloved fur baby Copper.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date, to be determined.
