Carl Barnhart Obituary
Carl was born on May 22, 1934 and grew up in the Bourbon area. He graduated from Bourbon High School. Carl married Katherine J. Bitting on August 13, 1954. The couple settled in Argos in 1956. It is here that Carl started his family's farm and raised their two children, Beth and David. He devoted his life to farming and family. He was extremely proud of his family and was excited to become a grandpa and great grandpa. He enjoyed camping and fishing with family and had many memories of doing so.
Those left to cherish Carl's memory are his two children: Beth Pontius and husband, Mark; David Barnhart and Donna Hartz; his grandchildren: Ryan Pontius and wife Lynette; Clint Pontius; Jarrod Barnhart and wife, Rachel; Brandy Hartz; Josh Barnhart and wife, Rebecca; Damion Hartz; ten great-grandchildren; his brother, Jerry Barnhart and wife, Nancy; his sisters: Judy Greer and husband, Jim; and Jane Geyer; and his sister-in-law, Charlotte Barnhart.
Carl was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine Barnhart; his parents: Dale and Elsie Barnhart; his brother, Jim Barnhart; and brother-in-law, Larry Geyer.
He will be missed by all that knew and loved him.
No services are planned.
