Carl Blosser Obituary
He was born on January 20,1939 in Shenandoah County, to the late Kirby and Dorothy Sours Blosser.
Carl was a Veteran of the US Army. He worked at Virginia Power as a 1st class serviceman, and was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Broadway.
On May 20, 1964 he married the former Shirley Shenk, who preceded him in death on February 10, 2024.
Carl is survived by a son, Michael Blosser of Broadway; daughters, Donna Blosser and fiancé Craig Cook of Harrisonburg, Amy B. Miller and husband Travis of Bridgewater; three grandchildren, Ashley Comer, Chase Comer, and Marleigh Miller; one sister, Mary Eaton of Timberville; one brother, Douglas Blosser of Dillwyn, VA; caregiver, Stephanie Corral, and beloved dog, Molly.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was also preceded in death by brothers; Robert Blosser Sr., Donnie Blosser; and sister Eleanor McClure.
Pastor Kevin Gerber will conduct a graveside service Wednesday, 3:00pm at Zirkle Cemetery in New Market, VA.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 5-7 pm at Faith Baptist Church in Broadway. The casket will be closed.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Broadway Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 666, Broadway VA 22815; or Sentara Hospice, 871 M.L.K. Jr Wy Ste 203, Harrisonburg, VA 22801.
Arrangements are entrusted to Grandle Funeral Home in Broadway.
