In Loving Memory of Carl A. Cabello Jr.
July 11, 1940 – September 4, 2025
With peaceful hearts and abiding faith, we announce the passing of Carl A. Cabello Jr., age 85, of Seminole, Florida, who went home to be with the Lord on September 4th, 2025, surrounded by love in the comfort of his home. He departed from this life of natural causes, leaving behind a legacy of faith, devotion, and unwavering love for his family.
Carl was born on July 11, 1940, in Woodside, New York, to Carl A. Cabello Sr. and Margaret (O'Brien) Cabello. From his early years, he carried a strong sense of purpose and conviction, qualities that would guide him throughout his life.
In May of 1965, Carl married the love of his life, Maureen Claire Carpenter. Together, they built a beautiful life centered on faith, family, and enduring love. Their 47 years of marriage were a testament to commitment and grace, a partnership that now continues in spirit.
A proud veteran, Carl served four years in the United States Air Force, stationed in Japan. His sense of duty, discipline, and patriotism kept him strong throughout his life. After his service, he found joy in the simple, meaningful pleasures of life. He was an avid golfer. He also enjoyed fishing and bowling.
More than anything, Carl's greatest accomplishment was his family, whom he cherished with his whole heart. He is survived by his beloved children: Barbara Cabello, Donna Hollingsworth (Michael Hollingsworth), and Michael Cabello; his grandchildren: Michael R. Hollingsworth (Casey Hollingsworth), Brian A. Hollingsworth, Mackenzie Tacey, and Brandon Cabello (Mykenzie Cabello); and his treasured great-granddaughter, Reagan Hollingsworth. He also leaves behind his dear sibling, Anita M. Webb
He now rejoins in Heaven his beloved wife, Maureen Cabello, whose memory he carried tenderly every day. He is also preceded in death by his brother, Charles Cabello, and his brother-in-law, William Webb.
Carl was a faithful member of Suncoast Community Church in Largo, Florida, where he found strength, fellowship, and a deepened walk with Christ. His faith was the cornerstone of his life-a quiet, steadfast light that touched everyone who knew him. Those who met Carl often remembered him not only for his humor and warmth, but most of all for his unshakable faith in God.
The family wishes to express special gratitude to Bunni Trexler, Rodger Trexler, and Dylan Ryan for their compassionate care and presence during Carl's final journey.
