Raymond Alex Holtmeyer Jr., 80, of Wesley Chapel passed away peacefully on February 26, 2026.

Ray was born on September 12, 1945, in Washington, Missouri to Raymond Alex Holtmeyer, Sr. and Blanche Dora Agnes Holtmeyer (née Diefenbach). He was preceded in death by his father and mother; his sister, Paula B. Holtmeyer; and his brother, Paul M. Holtmeyer.

He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Patricia Ann Holtmeyer; his sons Scott R. Holtmeyer (wife Dawn), Gregory M. Holtmeyer, and Jared R. Holtmeyer; his stepsons James P. O'Brien, Jr. (wife Tolu) and Timothy O'Brien (wife Tina); his stepdaughter Dea M. Heffernan (husband Ronan); 13 cherished grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; his sisters, Barbara Kay Holtmeyer and Ramona Crider; and his sister-in-law, Carleen Holtmeyer.

Ray spent his childhood and early career in Washington, Missouri. He attended St. Francis Borgia Regional before proudly serving his country in the United States Navy. Following his military service, he earned his degree in Industrial Engineering and built a respected professional career.

An avid outdoorsman, Ray loved fishing and being on the water. He was also a 2nd Degree Black Belt who dedicated many years to teaching students at New World Tae Kwon Do Studio in Washington. His discipline, strength, and fighting spirit were evident throughout his life. For more than 12 years, Ray courageously battled cancer with resilience and determination, inspiring those around him with his perseverance.

A private ceremony will be held on March 5, 2026, at Veterans Funeral Care, Clearwater, FL.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Ray's memory to Moffitt Cancer Center, Tampa, FL.

Ray will be remembered for his strength, dedication to family, love of the outdoors, and unwavering fighting spirit. He leaves behind a legacy of resilience, faith, and deep love for those fortunate enough to know him.

From Glenn Voss I remember Ray from his high school years. We also work togeather at Zero Mfg. for a number of years we had good times Ray was always a fare and very capable boss. God. Bless Ray.
