HOLTMEYER, Joseph John - age 61, of Fenton, died Monday, October 25, 2010 at Hurley Medical Center. Funeral mass will be celebrated 10 AM Friday, October 29, 2010 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St., Fenton with Rev. Fr. David W. Harvey celebrant. Interment will follow at St. John Cemetery. Visitation will be held 2-5 and 6-8 PM Thursday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton where a vigil service will be prayed at 7 PM. Visitation will also be held 9 AM until the time of service Friday at the Church. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to The Capuchin Soup Kitchen, 1820 Mt. Elliott Street, Detroit, MI 48207. Joseph was born March 15, 1949. He attended Aquinas College majoring in Science and received bachelor degree from University of Michigan Flint in Computer Science. Surviving are: father, John F. Holtmeyer of Fenton; sister, Carol (Christiaan) DeSmet of Farmington Hills; two nephews, David (Lisa) DeSmet and Marc (Nicole) DeSmet; great-niece, Arielle DeSmet; dear friend, Lynne Graham. His mother, Elizabeth Holtmeyer in 1983, preceded him in death.
