Thomas Cline Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Veterans Funeral Care on Mar. 10, 2026.
Reverend Thomas Edwin Cline, age 98, passed away on February 21, 2026, in Saint Cloud, Florida. He was born on October 30, 1927, in Lincoln Heights, Pennsylvania.

Thomas lived his life spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ, faithfully serving his Lord and Savior. A proud World War II veteran, he carried a deep sense of duty, faith, and love for his country throughout his life.

Thomas attended Norwin High School and Fort Wayne Bible College. He served his country in the United States Army. Following his military service, he began a career as a watchmaker. Soon after, he dedicated his life fully to God and became an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God. Over the years he faithfully served several congregations, including Lock Haven Assembly of God, Beaver Falls Assembly of God, and Mount Pleasant Assembly of God all in Pennsylvania.

In his free time, he enjoyed watching football, especially cheering for the University of Pittsburgh and the Pittsburgh Steelers. He loved the outdoors and found great joy in fishing, hunting, and spending time in God's creation. At home, he especially enjoyed Marilyn's cooking. Despite being diabetic, he was known to sneak a sweet treat now and then.

He loved his wife, Marilyn, with his whole heart. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who cared deeply for his family. He often asked about each family member and faithfully prayed for them.

He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Henry Cline; his mother, Catherine Elizabeth Kemerer; his brother, Clarence Richard Cline and his beloved wife, Marilyn Ruth Treser Cline.

He is survived by his daughters, Judith Lynn Lewis and Debra Lee Davis; five grandchildren, Brenton, BriAnn, Brynn, Isabelle, Arianna; and eight great-grandchildren.

Reverend Cline will be remembered for his unwavering faith, his love for his family, and his lifelong commitment to sharing the message of Jesus Christ.
