John Nagy Obituary
Born May 30, 1948 in Braddock, he was a son of the late John Nagy & Carmel V. (Granny) Nagy.
John was a 1965 graduate of Norwin High School, and served our country with the United States Army.
He worked as a machinist at Composide, Inc., retiring in 2012.
John enjoyed listening to the radio, especially Steelers games; and enjoyed hunting.
John is survived by his wife of 56 years, Agnes A. (Schmeltz) Nagy; son, John J. (Nicky) Nagy, Jr. of Bell Township; daughter, Holly J. (Thomas) Kozlowski of Avonmore; grandchildren, John Nagy III, Thomas Kozlowski, III, Alexa Nagy; great-grandchildren, Madalynn Nagy, Daniel Galzerano, Laya Kardos; sisters, Rosemary Galati of Butler, Sandra (Stephen) Sczur of Florida; as well as nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the Curran-Shaffer Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 100 Owens View Ave., Apollo, on Thursday, February 19, 2026 from 6:00 p.m. until the blessing service at 8:00 p.m. with Father John Euker officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mario Lemieux Cancer Center, 5115 Centre Ave., 4th Floor, Pittsburgh, PA 15232.
