Carl L. Callow Jr., 61, of McDonald, passed away on October 5, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown. Born on October 2, 1964, in Warren, Ohio, he was a man whose spirit resonated with the earth and the machines that tilled it. From his earliest years, Carl fostered a bond with his father, working side-by-side on tractors, cultivating not only the fields but also an enduring kinship that would shape his character.

A proud graduate of McDonald High School, class of 1983, Carl carried forth the lessons learned as a young man into a successful career with TCI in Leavittsburg,

Beyond work, Carl found joy in the freedom offered by his beloved Harley Davidson motorcycles. He cherished moments spent fishing and hunting; each trip into the wild was a testament to his appreciation of nature’s serene beauty.

Carl was also a respected member of the Masonic Lodge of Niles, embodying the values of charity and brotherhood that defined this esteemed organization.

He leaves behind a loving family who will honor his memory with deep affection. His wife, Catherine P. (Funaro) Callow, whom he married February 25, 2025 but had a wonderful life together with her for the past 17 years, his father, Carl L. Callow Sr. of Niles. His legacy continues with his son, Corey L. Callow, and daughter-in-law, Alycia, and their son Corey Callow. They are joined in their loss by step-son Nathan Huff, accompanied by his fiancée, Natalie Mostoller of Liberty Twp.

The bond of brotherhood ties him to Craig (Wendy) Callow of Poland, Ohio, and to Dr. Mark (Dr. Stephanie) Callow of Mason, Ohio, and his faithful companion, his dog, Colby.

Carl's mother, Barbara A. (Mang) Callow, will be forever remembered in their hearts.

As friends and family gather to celebrate his life, they will do so during visitation at Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard, Ohio, on October 9, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 7:00 PM. Together, they will share tears and laughter, recounting stories that immortalize a man whose life was woven with love, hard work, and a thirst for adventure. Carl L. Callow Jr. will forever remain alive in the hearts of those who loved him.
