Carl Dwayne Cunningham

Carl Dwayne Cunningham of Des Moines, Iowa passed away on September 11, 2023 at the age of 63. He was born on February 6, 1960 in Des Moines, Iowa to Carl Cunningham Sr and Carolyn (Dornbusch). During his life, Carl worked at a variety of jobs. He did it all, from construction to gardening to working at the Savory Hotel. He also raised angel fish and had his own business called Carl's Angels. Carl loved fishing and was frequently seen heading to the river riding his bike with fishing poles strapped to his back. Carl also loved his music and had a massive speaker collection that could support a major concert! Carl cherished his friends and family whom he loved dearly. You never said goodbye without getting a hug and an "I love you."
Carl is preceded in death by his father, Carl Cunningham, mother Carolyn Davis, stepfather Fred Blanchard and his brother Doug Cunningham.
He is survived by his sister Michelle (Dez) Theel, brother Shawn (Angel) Blanchard, sister Laura (David) McCreary, nephews David Whistler, Wade Whistler (Alicia) and Jordan Ashley; nieces Amanda Whistler, Jordan Blanchard, Connor Blanchard, Taylor Gillan and Morgan Rhode (Jeff); great-nephews Noah Gillan and Asher Norris; great-nieces Brandi Rutledge (Calvin), Marie Whiteley (Ethan), Natalie Croux, Emma Rhode and Ellie Rhode and great-great niece Luna Whiteley.
