It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Carl Anthony D'Amato who departed this life on June 12, 2025.
Carl was born on June 13, 1937 in Milwaukee, WI and lived a life full of kindness, laughter, and integrity. He was a devoted husband, father, step-father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend, known for his generous spirit, witty sense of humor and unwavering support to those he loved. Carl was an avid Green Bay Packers fan as well as a talented photographer. He was a longtime resident in the Hartford community and enjoyed spending time with the Senior Friends organization at the Hartford Senior Center.
He is survived by his loving wife, Theresa (Terry) (née D'Alessio), cherished daughters Lora (Tom) Strobel and Jean Stanley (Patrick), dear stepsons Michael and William Starck, beloved grandchildren Justin Starck, Eric (Amy) Huber, Ashley (Greg) Dieball, Taylor Delaurier, Anthony (Kayla) Stanley, Tyler Stanley and eight great grandchildren, June, Dean and Lane; Skylar and Raelynn; Hudson; Liam and Evan. Carl is further survived by treasured brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends at St. Kilian Catholic Church, 264 W. State St, Hartford, WI 53027 on Thursday June 19 from 11am until the celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial at 12:30pm. Committal Services will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery 7301 W Nash St, Milwaukee on Friday June 20 at 10:30am.
All who knew and loved him are welcome to attend.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Carl's name may be made to the Dementia Society of America or St Jude Children's Research Hospital.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks and gratitude to Aurora Health Care, Dr Paul Bullis, Lilly Hospice and Horizon's Lawlis Family Hospice for their tender loving care.
