Carl Gschwind Dickman, 81, of Fostoria, went to be with the Lord after a short stay at the Bridge Hospice Care Center, on Sunday, September 28, 2025. He was born on October 10, 1942, in Fremont, the son of the late Bernard and Fannette (Gschwind) Dickman. On August 11, 1967 he married Lana (Miller) Dickman who survives in Fostoria.
Survivors also include his son, Kyle (Dorothee) Dickman, Fostoria, and daughters, Dara (Jeremy) Moore, Findlay, and Carla (Todd) Courtney, Fostoria. Eight grandchildren, Bianca Dickman, Harper Dickman, Karis Moore, Mia Moore, Derek Courtney, Cori Jordan, Cail Courtney, and Carter Courtney as well as thirteen great grandchildren. His brothers, Fred (Judy) Dickman, Lamar (Mary Ann) Dickman, Jerry (Janet) Dickman, and Larry (Kim) Dickman. His sisters, Judy Adams, Linda (Lynn) Fifer, Shirley (Mike) Haaser and Mary Ann (Steve) Diekman. Preceding him in death were his parents, and a sister, Nancy Hartman.
Carl was a member of the New Hope Christian Church, Wayne, Ohio.
He was a set-up man at both Clyde and Findlay Whirlpool Factories for 45 years retiring in 2011. He enjoyed raising his chickens and turkeys on his farm, running, spending time with his family, and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 3, 2025 at the Cornerstone Baptist Church, 8360 Co Rd 140, Findlay, from 11-12 pm. A funeral service will follow at 12 pm at the church with Pastor Ron Merritt officiating. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Bridge Home, Health, and Hospice or to New Hope Christian Church, Wayne. Online condolences may be expressed at www.coldrencrates.com.
