Carl “Bob” Doss (83) of Zionsville passed away on March 6, 2024.
Carl, most know him as Bob, was born September 16, 1940, to Herman & Nola (Shockley) Doss in Lafayette, TN. Bob was the youngest of 3 children: Mildred (Doss) Gant and (late) Calvin Doss.
Bob served in the US Army and then attended Butler University.
On June 26, 1966, Bob married the love of his life, Carole (Dodd) Doss. Bob & Carole went on to have one daughter, Tina (Doss) Klinkose-Kyler.
Bob had a successful career in construction for over 40 years as a Project Manager / Trainer in home building. Upon his retirement in 2008, he still continued to work at various places like his daughter’s adoption agency, Zionsville Schools and FedEx.
Even after 83 years of life, people that knew Bob would say he was always ready to live the next day to its fullest, never without a smile and a heart full of love.
Bob is survived by his wife Carole; daughter Tina and son-in-law Steve Kyler; grandkids Gavin, Madison, and Otto; his sister Mildred (Doss) Gant; nephews Mark Gant, Mike Doss, and Matthew Doss; nieces Pamela (White) Shaw and Kathy Doss; along with other extended family.
