Mr. Carl L. Dukes, 73 – born August 15, 1938 in Jackson, MS, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, April 27. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. Sunday, April 29 at Lakewood Memorial Funeral Home and after 11 a.m. Monday, April 30. The service will begin at 12 noon in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Ken Anderson officiating. Mr. Dukes was a graduate of Provine High School and a U.S. Air Force Veteran. He was an employee of Truck Trailer and Equipment for 42 years. Mr. Dukes was a member of Clinton Touchdown Club and Parkway Baptist Church. He was an avid Ole Miss Fan and supporter of the Clinton Arrows. His parents, Herman and Doll Dukes, preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife, Helen Dukes; brother Jim Dukes (Peggy); sons Scott Dukes and Michael Dukes (Michelle); grandchildren Bailey and Riley Dukes and nephew Jimbo Dukes. Serving as pallbearers will be David Alexander, David Bishop, David Pigg, Dan Smith, David Winborne and Sonny Winters. Honorary pallbearers include members of the Clinton Arrow Chain Gang, The Thundering Herd: Jeff Crowe, Mark Davidson, Michael Dukes, Mike Gelston, Joe Kellum, Pat Mire and Johnny Outlaw. The family would like to offer their special love and thanks to Loria Younkinn, our angel from Heaven, in providing Carl's care the past three weeks. Memorials may be made to Hospice Ministries of Ridgeland or to Parkway Baptist Church.
