Carl R. Harvey

Age 76, of Durand, Michigan, passed away on September 28, 2025, in Hale, Michigan. Carl was born to the late Elmer and Florence Harvey on October 17, 1948, in Portland, Oregon. Carl was a resident of Durand, Michigan since 1982. He worked as a bus driver for SATA for many years, after retiring as a driver from Indian Trails in 2010.

Carl married the love of his life, June (Graves) Harvey on January 17, 1976. The two of them had the opportunity to spend 49 amazing years together making endless memories and raising a family of four children. Some of Carl's favorite hobbies consisted of bowling, barbequing, wood crafting, watching his favorite sports teams – University of Michigan and the Detroit Lions, and most importantly spending quality time with his family and friends.

To know Carl was to love him. He had a great sense of humor and loved to make people laugh. He was constantly working hard at everything he put his mind to and loved his family. Carl passed away at his absolute favorite place, enjoying life, with all his favorite friends and family. He was "happy, happy, happy". He will forever be in our hearts and missed dearly by all who had the pleasure of having this man touch their lives with his humor and award-winning BBQ.

Carl is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, June Harvey; children, Carl Harvey Jr., Bobbi Jo (Chris) McCann, Ryan Harvey, Melissa (Morgan) Beach; grandchildren, Benjamin, Lincoln, Preston, Patrick, Lillian, Kerrigan, Leo, and Ava; five great grandchildren; brother, Art (Gloria) Docken; sisters, Linda Benson, Brez Gayland, Lisa (Larry) Cope, Melanie (Bob) Magley, and Andrea (Larry) Warren, many nieces and nephes; and his favorite canine daughter, Chewy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jake Zdunic and Florence Zdunic Montgomery; sister, Mary Francis; and 2 nephews, Nathan Spencer and Tracy Spencer.

Per Carl's wishes, cremation has taken place. You may leave an online condolence at www.bureshfuneralhomes.com.
