Carl Denis Jackowski

Carl Denis Jackowski, born on July 22, 1955, in Martins Ferry, Ohio, passed away peacefully at his residence on Sunday August 10, 2025, at the age of 70.

Carl dedicated many years of his life to his work as a mechanic at Ohio Cat, where he was known for his skill and dedication. His commitment to his craft and his work ethic were admired by all who knew him. He also was a member of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Barnesville, Oh.

He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Laura (Magnani) Jackowski; his father, Michael Jackowski; his cherished wife, Gayle (Mercer) Jackowski; and his brother, Mike Jackowski.

Carl is survived by his loving son, Denis Jackowski Jr., and his wife Kelli; his sister, Kathy Greenlee, and her husband Tom; his brother, Bob Jackowski, and his wife Anna Marie. He also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews who will fondly remember him.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the visitation on Friday, August 15, 2025, from 2-4 & 6-8 at Care Funeral Home & Cremation Specialist, located at 204 W. Main Street, St. Clairsville, Ohio. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at 10 AM at the same location. Following the service, Carl will be laid to rest at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Lafferty, Ohio.

Carl will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
