Carl D. Kerber, of Rock Hill, NY, a longtime resident of area passed away on July 16th, 2025. He was 75.
The son of the late Jack Kerber and Evelyn Neighmond Kerber, he was born June 17th, 1950, in Englewood, New Jersey.
Carl was a graduate of Newark College of Engineering and a veteran of the United States Army serving 1972-1974. Carl was active in the community as a member of the Sullivan County Electrical Licensing Board, member of the Rock Hill Business & Community Association, and past member of the Monticello Rotary Club. He was a Life Member of the Rock Hill Fire Department. Carl was also a member of the International Association of Electrical Inspectors (IAEI.) Carl enjoyed visiting with family and completing Sudoku puzzles and other mind teasers.
Carl is survived by his loving and dedicated wife of 52 years Ruth Perry Kerber, of Rock Hill; devoted son David Kerber of Rock Hill and loving daughter Jennifer Kerber Droukas (Eric) of Las Vegas; and granddaughter Alexandra. He is also survived by sisters Carolyn Ramsay of Rock Hill, Christine Kerber of Arizona, and Judy Konefal (Edward Levine) of Monticello; sisters-in-law Rita Endresz of New Jersey and Ruth Kerber of California; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; and dear friends George and Lorraine Pfeister and Pam Smith; the Friday Lunch Group and the 4 O'clock Club, as well as many other friends and his RHFD family.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by brother John Michael Kerber, sisters Joyce and June Kerber, and cherished friends Harold and Wilma Hoyt, Chet Smith, and Brian O'Leary.
Carl was our rock. He was kind, fair, and always ready to give a helping hand or sit quietly by your side. Whatever you needed, Carl was there. We will all miss him dearly.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 25th, 2025 from 12pm to 2pm at the Rock Hill Firehouse, with a memorial service and Firematic services to follow at 2pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Rock Hill Business & Community Association or a charity of one's choice. You can also complete an act of service in Carl's memory.
