Carl D Krafft

Reidville – Carl D. Krafft, 79, of Reidville, passed peacefully on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was the devoted husband of Cyndy Krafft and proud father of three children. Born on February 8, 1946, in Caress, West Virginia, Carl was the son of the late James "Barney" and Genevieve Krafft. After high school, he was drafted into the U.S. Army and served during the Vietnam War. He went on to dedicate 49 years to the steel industry in Northwest Indiana, where he worked as a Maintenance Supervisor. Carl enjoyed golfing, bowling, and woodworking. He was especially gifted with his hands, completing countless home improvement and woodworking projects for friends and family. Known for his craftsmanship, he was always willing to lend his talents. He was also an avid reader with a love of learning, often finishing several books each week. In addition to his wife Cyndy, Carl is survived by his children, Joel Krafft (Rhonda), Erin Vaughan (Nathan), and Kari Krafft (Alex Regalado); grandchildren, Austin Krafft, Jessica Vaughan, and James Vaughan; and sister, Judy Kyle. He was preceded in death by seven siblings: Arden Krafft, Blair Krafft, Norma Beamer, Lola Beamer, Farrell Krafft, Arnold Krafft, and Donna Witt. A private family service will be held in Carl's honor. The family deeply appreciates your thoughts and prayers during this time.
