Carl Dale Kronewitter

Carl Dale Kronewitter passed away on Friday, October 24, 2025. Carl was born in Mishawaka, on July 27,1935, to the late Herman and Ellen (Becraft) Kronewitter. Carl is also preceded in death by his brother, Devon Kronewitter.
On October 3, 1959, Carl married Patricia Andrysiak. They have been together a total of 68 years. He is survived by his wife Pat; his children, Steve (Bridgit) Kronewitter, Brian (Gail) Kronewitter and Karla (Jim) Himschoot; grandchildren Kyle, Chad, Cory, Tyler, Brandon, Alec, Jordan and Alyssa; 3 great grandchildren; as well as his sister, Lois (Joe) Gratzol.
Carl worked at Federal Paper Board for 32 years and with School City of Mishawaka until his retirement in 1997. He was a proud Union Foreman for many years.
Carl loved gardening and creating beautiful outdoor landscaping. He took great pride in crafting his 3 acres of land by designing his ponds, gristmill water feature and gazebo. He was a master gardener - his work was featured in the County Garden Tour in 2004 and 2012. Carl was also a skilled carpenter and loved to design and build handcrafted furniture for his home and family.
Per Carl's wishes, he will be cremated and there will be no services. St. Joseph Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences can be made at sjfh.net.
