Carl Neubauer, 87, of Murphy went to be with the Lord on August 16th, 2025 at his home. Born in Newton, New Jersey. Graduated from Dover High School and met his soul mate/wife Helen Thomas. He moved to Florida and many years later moved to the beautiful Murphy, North Carolina mountains.
He was preceded in death by his parents August and Catherine Neubauer and sister Deanna Neubauer Connor. Carl is survived by his wife Helen and son Steven of Murphy and daughter Debby of St. Petersburg, FL. He is also survived by four granddaughters Melanie of FL, Stephanie and husband Justin of NC, Traci and Jonathan of WV, and Sara of FL, and eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Carl was a very loving husband and father, grandfather and great grandfather. He loved anything to do with history. He was a very good woodworker and loved making things for his family and helping anyway he could. He was a machinist by trade for most of his life. But he especially enjoyed being retired to the beautiful, peaceful mountains of North Carolina.
Any memorial donations can be made to St. Jude’s's Children's Research Hospital.
