Carl Phelps Sr.

Carl Jay Phelps Sr.,from Saylorsburg , Pa., and formerly of Bangor, Pa., aged 62, passed away on January 22, 2026, in East Stroudsburg, PA. Born on June 3, 1963, in Easton, PA, Carl spent his life dedicated to his craft as a lifelong roofer, a career that reflected his hardworking nature and commitment to providing for his family.

Carl was known for his helping spirit and his remarkable sense of humor, traits that endeared him to many. He grew up in Bushkill twsp, Pa. where he played sports and rode bikes with friends. He also attended Nazareth High School, where he began laying the foundations of his future.

He is survived by his loving wife, Stephanie Phelps; his children, Carl Phelps Jr., Angela Lytle, and Felicia Dorrington; his siblings, Theodore Phelps Jr., Brian Phelps Sr., and Diane Noble, many nieces and nephews, and 7 grandchildren.Carl was preceded in death by his late wife, Sherry (Setcer)Phelps. His father Theodore Phelps Sr., and his Mother Sandra (Beatty) Mink.

Carl's life was marked by his dedication to his family and his passion for his work. His acceptance of his Lord and Savior.His joy of gardening with his late wife Sherry, and Stephanie. He will be remembered fondly by all who knew him for his willingness to lend a hand and his ability to lighten any moment with a joke. He tried to instill his humorous wisdom into his grandchildren. His legacy will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.

Celebration of life Ceremony will be held at The Hub 14 Broadway ave, Bangor, Pa., on February 14th, from 11am-12pm.
