Joan Drasher Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Allentown Funeral & Cremations Services, LLC on Mar. 14, 2026.
Joan Florence Drasher, 89, of Weatherly, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 12th,

surrounded by her loving family at Fritzingertown Senior Living Community.

Born in Darby, Pennsylvania on July 25th, 1936, she was the daughter of the late James &

Florence Blankley.

While she held many roles throughout her life, her proudest moments were her time spent

as acting president of the Weatherly American Legion Auxiliary Unit #360. She also acted

as the longtime treasurer for the Weatherly Flower Club as she enjoyed flowers, gardening,

and watching the birds from her back deck. Joan was also an avid outdoorswoman who

loved hunting, boating, & camping. Joan will be remembered for her vibrant spirit,

legendary ability to speak her mind, & her devoted love as "Nanny" to her grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband Earl B. Drasher; daughters Lorraine Mae & Patty

Jean.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Joanie Slowik, and her husband David, Drums;

grandchildren Holly Slowik, and her husband Jason, Denver, CO; Ariel Slowik, Drums;

Casey Mills, and her husband Derrick, Egg Harbour Township, NJ; Jimmy Epright, and his

wife Amy, Mount Ephraim, NJ; Carolyn Regimand, Austin, TX; great-grandchildren Lincoln &

Emmy Mills, Egg Harbour Township, NJ; Chloe & Rory Epright, Mount Ephraim, NJ; as well

as her "fur-kitty" grandchildren Newton, Bane, Waffles & Pancakes.

Special thanks to the compassionate care hospice team, Joelle & Theresa from Maylath

Valley Health Systems. Another special thanks to the loving & caring staff at Fritzingertown.

Burial services will be private & held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, we

ask that donations be made to the Disabled American Veterans, 1123 E. End Blvd., Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702.
