Kenneth Rebert

Kennet F. Rebert, age 88, of Barnesville, passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at St. Luke's Miners in Coaldale. Born on March 8, 1937 to Josephine Baker and Byron F. Rebert in Cashton PA. He was baptized at St. Ignatius Church.

Ken moved to Dillsburg PA where he played baseball for Northern High School and graduated in 1955. He joined the Army where he was recognized for excellent marksmanship and was a member of the Honor Guard. Ken was a member of St. Peter's UCC of Barnesville. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for Central Penn Industries and George Racho of Hazleton and Blaschak Coal Co in Mahanoy City. He was respected by everyone who worked with him.

He loved his family, planning 4th of July picnics, making homemade ice cream and homemade wine every year. He loved teaching his grandchildren everything from changing a tire, backing up a fishing boat to hitting a golf ball. He cut Oak trees for paneling in his living room and Pine trees to build a barn.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly Steltz Rebert to whom he was married for 66 years. They had 3 children, Kenneth F. Rebert Jr, married to Karen Sanford Rebert, Lora Ruth Yarrish and Jennifer Lynne Miller, married to Brian J. Miller Sr. 8 Grandchildren, Frank, Brian Jr. and Shane Miller, John and Kimberly Yarrish, Jamie Yarrish Donahue, Kurt Rebert and Kelly Rebert Demaria, 5 Great-Grandchildren, and a Sister, Carolyn Noeding.

A Funeral Service for Ken will be held on Monday, March 9th, 2026 at Lamar Christ Funeral Home, 31 Mahanoy Ave, Tamauqa PA 18252 at 11:30am. Family and friends may call from 10am Monday morning until the time of service. Burial to follow at St. Peter's UCC Cemetery in Barnesville.
