Carl Pinckney Obituary

Carl Richard Pinckney was born in Goshen, NY on June 24th, 1971 on a beautiful sunny day. He left this world on October 6th, 2025 surrounded by his mother, sister, and wife into the arms of his father Dick, sister Debby, and beloved pets.
Carl had a zest and love for life. He was a true warrior, courageously fighting health challenges for more than twenty years. Despite all his medical challenges he remained steadfast in spirit and hope. He met each day with courage, right up to his passing.
After graduating from Wallkill Senior High School, Carl went on to attend Orange County College. After college he settled into a career that he thrived in as a Survey Party Chief at LOCAL 15D NYC Surveyors.
To his friends, he brought laughter and light heartedness. He was a source of support with an open heart, a true friend who could always be counted on in times of need. To his family, he was a source of strength and wisdom - their protector when needed and a beacon of light. He loved them deeply, as they love him. A fearless leader with a gentle, loving heart, he also shared a special bond with his many faithful canine companions, especially his beloved Dobermans.
Carl had a lifelong love of cars, a passion that lit up his whole being. He often said he felt goosebumps up his spine hearing the roar of his engine and watching the tachometer hit the "red line". In his later years, this love turned into a cherished hobby as he created and restored model cars.
Carl is survived by his loving mother Carolyn, sister Vicky, and wife Maureen. He also leaves behind aunts, uncles and cousins who adored him dearly.
The family will honor and celebrate Carl's life at Millspaugh Funeral Home at 22 Bank St., Walden, NY 12586 on Sunday, October 12, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
We would like to express our gratitude to all that cared for and supported Carl during his courageous battle with his health. In lieu of flowers you may send donations to the Humane Society of Walden, waldenhumane.org or Hudson Valley SPCA, hudsonvalleyspca.com.
