Charles graduated from Anderson High School in 1954, setting the foundation for a lifetime of varied and impactful careers. His abilities extended further as he took on the role of roundhouse foreman at Burlington Northern Railroad. Above all, Charles loved the Lord with all his heart and joyfully engaged in reading and teaching the Christian faith. On Sundays, he would worship at Oak Park Community Church in Fort Wayne, Indiana, where he was a member.
