Carl A. Plautz, age 74, of Lincoln, passed peacefully on Tuesday, December 9, 2025. Born on January 22, 1951 in Seward County, Nebraska to Reinold & Mildred (Pieper) Plautz.
Carl was raised on the family farm near Malcolm, attended Malcolm & Seward Schools. He participated in 4-H, FFA, football & basketball. Carl proudly served six years in the Nebraska Army National Guard. He worked at Square D later retiring from the City of Lincoln. Carl loved to stay busy, socialize, maintaining a passion for farming, gardening, raising various animals, collecting & selling of farm toys.
Preceded in death by both parents; brother, Ronald Plautz; son-in-law, Brian Towle; first wife, Mary Poe. Survived by his three children: Janice (Keith) Bless, Kelly Towle, Travis (Joy) Plautz; grandchildren: Natalie, Drake, Emerson; former wife, Laurie, step-children/grand-children; siblings, Virgil Plautz, Jannette Smith.
A Celebration of Life service will be a later date @ Lincoln Family Funeral Care (LFFC). Leave contact info with LFFC to receive notice of the service.
