Carl Reed Obituary

Carl B. Reed, 91, of Brockway, PA passed away peacefully at home on Friday, July 18, 2025.

He was born January 10, 1934, in Brockport, PA, and was the son of the late Glenn and Geneva Reed.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Linda Wilcox Reed; two sons, Scott (Kelly) of York, PA and Gregory (Leigh Ann) of Lusby, MD; a son-in-law, Bill Okerlund of Norfolk VA; two grandchildren; two step grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Vernon (Vicky) and Paul (Rita); and one sister, Loretta (George) Neureiter. He was predeceased by his daughter, Lisa Okerlund; and three brothers: Chester, Victor, and William.

He retired from Owens-Brockway in 1997. He also served a tour of duty in the U.S. Army. He attended Beechtree Union Church.

Visitation was on Tuesday, July 22 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway. A funeral service immediately followed at 12 p.m., with Rev. Terry Felt officiating. Burial followed in Wildwood Cemetery. Full military honors were accorded Tuesday at the cemetery by Parson-Marnati Post #95 of the American Legion Burial Detail.

Memorials may be made to the Beechtree Union Church, 5061 Westville Road, Brockway, PA 15824 or to the donor's choice. Online condolences may be left at csfhinc.com.
