Oh Nancy I just heard about Carl and I am so sorry. I will always have such fun memories of Carl's and my friendship since first grade! He definitely was "one of a kind" and I am so glad we were able to reconnect a number of years ago. I hope you are well Nancy and was so happy to finally meet you.

Our deepest condolences to Nancy and the family and our prayers for comfort in the coming days and weeks. I met Carl in 1969 as we were both in our first year of teaching. He immediately impressed me with his extensive knowledge , experience and creativity. He was a true gentleman and was very kind. We worked together for the next 34 years and he made a extensive impact on my career. We worked for all those tears together in harmony and never had a disagreement. I will miss him dearly.

Our hearts go out to all of you. We were blessed to know Carl as he took our daughter, Kristin, under his wing and guided her into a blossoming artist. His talent as both an artist and teacher was an inspiration to us all. I remember he told us once that "creating art is 10% talent and 90% hard work" and he instilled that work ethic in his students.
With deepest sympathy and gratitude,
