Carl Schubert Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Brewer & Sons Funeral Home - Clermont Chapel on Dec. 1, 2025.
Carl Schubert, the beloved husband, father, grandfather, artist, and teacher, passed away peacefully in his sleep on December 1, 2025, surrounded by the family he cherished. He was a man whose life was defined by his creativity, kindness, and his unwavering dedication to those he loved.
Born with an artist's eye and a teacher's heart, Carl spent his life sharing beauty with the world through his artwork, his classroom, and the countless lives he touched. His students often remembered him not only for his talent but for the way he encouraged them to see the world differently, to create boldly, and to believe in themselves.
Carl was a devoted family man, deeply proud of his children, Ryan and Carlie, and endlessly loving toward his four grandchildren, Tucker, Cooper, Kaylin, and Taryn, who brought him immense joy. His partnership with his soulmate and wife, Nancy Schubert, was a testament to love, loyalty, and shared purpose.
Carl's legacy lives on in the canvases he painted, the lessons he taught, and in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be remembered for his gentle spirit, his generosity, his sense of humor, and his boundless creativity.
He will be profoundly missed and forever cherished.
" one of the best attributes of art is that it does not necessarily have to be representational to touch our hearts and make us think. Sometimes, we can catch a glimpse of the artist's soul when looking at the work." Carl W. Schubert

Oh Nancy I just heard about Carl and I am so sorry. I will always have such fun memories of Carl's and my friendship since first grade! He definitely was "one of a kind" and I am so glad we were able to reconnect a number of years ago. I hope you are well Nancy and was so happy to finally meet you.

Our deepest condolences to Nancy and the family and our prayers for comfort in the coming days and weeks. I met Carl in 1969 as we were both in our first year of teaching. He immediately impressed me with his extensive knowledge , experience and creativity. He was a true gentleman and was very kind. We worked together for the next 34 years and he made a extensive impact on my career. We worked for all those tears together in harmony and never had a disagreement. I will miss him dearly.

Our hearts go out to all of you. We were blessed to know Carl as he took our daughter, Kristin, under his wing and guided her into a blossoming artist. His talent as both an artist and teacher was an inspiration to us all. I remember he told us once that "creating art is 10% talent and 90% hard work" and he instilled that work ethic in his students.
With deepest sympathy and gratitude,
Pam & Brian Boyle
