Carl Eugene Selleck, 92, of Laketon, Indiana, died at 10:13 pm, Monday, March 9, 2026, at Peabody Healthcare Center in North Manchester, Indiana. He was born on November 11, 1933, in Logansport, Indiana, to Carl Emmet Selleck and Lucy (Sherman) Burton.
Carl married Mazzie Minish in Columbia City, Indiana in 1958; she died September 20, 2016. He was a US Air Force veteran. Carl worked and retired from Husky-Harlan in Peru, Indiana after 37 years. He was a member of the American Legion Post 48 in Laketon. Carl enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing, ice fishing, hunting, and mushroom hunting. He enjoyed traveling and taking vacations, loved a good yard sale, and especially loved spending time with his family and his dog Archie.
He is survived by four children, Edward E. (Lorraine) Selleck of Wabash, Allen (Peggy) Selleck of North Manchester, Indiana, Bobbie Jo (John) Laker of Pomplin, Virginia, and Nellie (Jim) Hyden of Wabash; 14 grandchildren, Angela Hope Selleck, Edward David Selleck, Kenneth Selleck, Jr., Cynthia (Selleck) Green, Carol Renee (Selleck) Davis, Chad Eugene (Selleck) Blackwell, Nicole Amanda (Selleck) Parker, Beth (Benjamin) Schrum, Jennifer (Andrew) Stephens, Shenne Freibuger, Tabitha Cooper, Travis (Chloe) Selleck, Tyler (Cardella) Selleck, and Katelin (Ben) Thompson; 30 great grandchildren; 9 great great grandchildren; and siblings Hugh Selleck of Logansport, Guy (Bertie) Selleck of Marshall, Illinois, Calvin (Mary) Burton of Kokomo, Wilma Ogle and Linda Pattingale, both of Logansport, Lucy (Hiram) Adams of Carton, Georgia, Anna Wildermuth of Logansport, and Connie Pierce of Walton, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Mazzie Selleck, son, Kenneth Eugene Selleck, and brother Fred Selleck.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am, Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with Paul Eakright officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawns Cemetery, Wabash. Friends may call from 3-7 pm Friday, March 13, 2026, at the funeral home.
Preferred memorial is Animal Shelter of Wabash County.
