Carl Clayton Terry

A Graveside Funeral service and Interment for Carl Clayton Terry, 81, will be Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Oak Ridge Cemetery with Destin Sandlin, his nephew, officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. No public visitation will be held.

Mr. Terry passed away on Thursday, November 20, 2025 at Decatur Morgan Hospital. He was born November 24, 1943, in Lawrence County, to Roy Leigh Terry and Mary Lois Nesmith Canup.

He was employed by Prestolite and Automatic Screw, as an IT Manager, during his career and loved his work, prior to his retirement. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and time spent with his family. He passed away after complications of a car accident that happened many years ago.

Preceding him in death were his daughter- Carla Renee Terry, his parents, and a sister- Mary Helen Horton.

Survivors include
Wife - Debbie Sandlin Terry,

Nephews- Destin Sandlin and Cape Sandlin,

Nieces - Regan Sandlin, Briley Sandlin, Addison McNutt and Haiden McNutt,

Three Great Nieces and Three Great Nephews.

Pallbearers will be Stephen McNutt, Darryl Sandlin, Carlos Quintero, Cape Sandlin, Sawyer Sandlin, and Gideon Sandlin.
