Carl Richard ("Rick") Thomas
Funeral service for Carl Richard "Rick" Thomas will be held Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at 10AM at Bible Baptist Church, 226 S. 29th St., Chickasha, OK. 73018. Interment will be at Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
Friends and Family are invited to visit with Rick on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at Sevier Funeral Home, 702 Chickasha Avenue, Chickasha, OK. 73018 from 5:00 to 7:00PM.
Carl Richard ("Rick") Thomas, age 75, of Chickasha, OK went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at 5:49am due to natural causes.
He is survived by his sister, Gloria Gaynelle Wyatt and her spouse, Larry Wyatt; son, Clint Thomas, and his spouse Erin Thomas; son, Jason Thomas, and his spouse Jennifer Thomas; and son, Doug Thomas, and his spouse Jackie Thomas; and Rick's eleven grandchildren.
Rick was born on August 7, 1949 in Chickasha, OK to Billy Ray ("Bill") Thomas and Gloria LaVelle (McClellan) Thomas.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Bill and LaVelle Thomas, brother David Thomas, and 2nd wife, Sherrie Thomas.
Rick was married for 20 years to his first wife, Pamela Sue (McGuire) ("Susie") Thomas before divorcing in 1990. He is a graduate of Chickasha High School and USAO with an art degree. After receiving God's call to the ministry at Sharon Baptist Church in Chickasha, he attended Hyles Anderson Bible College in Gary, Indiana before returning to Chickasha to found Heritage Baptist Church and School for many years. Later in life, he worked for Oklahoma DHS before retiring and was a member of Bible Baptist Church in Chickasha. Rick's favorite sermon was "Payday Someday" by R.G. Lee who he deeply revered and was influenced by in his ministry.
Following the interment, family and friends are invited back to Bible Baptist Church for fellowship and a meal.
