Carl Milton "Milt" Wiklund, age 89 of Rochester and longtime resident of Farmington Hills, passed away peacefully on June 23. Milt will be remembered for his love of family and his unwavering devotion to Jesus Christ.
The love of Milt's life, Barbara, was always his top priority. Together, for 68 wonderful years, they poured all they had into their family, creating a foundation of love that will endure for generations. Their marriage was a beautiful example of dedication, support, and true love.
Milt was the cherished father of Wendy (William) Taylor and Craig (Gayla) Wiklund. He was a devoted grandfather to Rachel (Chris) Lefferdink, Alicia (Damon) Young, Curtis (Jordin) Wiklund, Steven (Britt) Thompson, Kendra (John) Hughes, Abby (Jeff) Zanarini, and Nancy Fischer. His legacy continues through fourteen great-grandchildren: Kinsey, Casen, Hattie, Hayden, Dylan, Alexi, Reid, Emmy, Piper, Silia, Lily, August, Alison, and Lauren. Each child, grandchild, and great-grandchild was a recipient of Milt and Barbara's boundless love and consistent prayers.
Very proud of his Swedish heritage, Milt always made celebrating these traditions a priority at family functions, keeping his cultural roots alive for future generations. As a skilled builder and bricklayer, he did amazing work throughout his career, but his greatest achievement was always the family he and Barbara built together.
Known for his generous heart, Milt was a hard worker who would do anything for anyone. His strong devotion to Jesus guided his life and shaped the man he was – compassionate, faithful, and always putting family first.
